Review & Giveaway: VISCOUNT BRECKENRIDGE TO THE RESCUE by Stephanie Laurens

I am so thrilled to have been able to read Stephanie Laurens's latest release in her Cynster series, VISCOUNT BRECKENRIDGE TO THE RESCUE, a historical romance novel being released by Avon / HarperCollins on August 30th. This wasn't my first Lauren's book that I have read, but I must admit it has been a while. Not to disappoint Stephanie weaves a tried and true swoon worthy romance that will take you away to another place and another time. As this is the 16th Cynster Novel and the First Volume in the Cynster Sisters Trilogy you won't be disappointed in the heroine Heather Cynster, she is a woman of her own mind, and nothing or no one is going to change that. She is strong willed, loyal and a woman who is destined to only marry for love, true love. No matter the cost there are some things that she isn't willing to compromise. But she isn't all toughness and barbed wire, a woman of The Ton must keep her wits about her, Heather is also so vulnerable to a fault. Not just any man will be able to capture this ladies heart.

In comes Breckenridge, is he a rogue or a hero? Hum, I think I bounced back and forth a couple of times on that one. But looks are deceiving and with a cleaver and addictive charming and witty plot Miss Cynster and Breckenridge are a true pair if I ever saw one.

Wonderfully written to capture you heart, SL's new series will make a fan if you aren't already with her dramatic and charming characters who are so hard not to love. A well spun shorty of intrigue, danger, humor and of course romance there just isn't any more a Historical Romance fan can ask for a more. Sure not to dissapoint the words will leap out of the pages as your mind and heart are transported and swept away with words on the page that weave such a emotionally stimulated and sensual story that is blended seamlessly into the lives of these characters, making the reader feel a part of the action.

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Miss Heather Cynster
...but not before she encounters kidnappers, danger, and a daring rescue at the hands of Viscount Breckenridge.
Determined to hunt down her very own hero, one who will sweep her off her feet and into wedded bliss, and despairing of finding him in London's staid ballrooms, Heather Cynster steps out of her safe world and boldly attends a racy soiree.
But her promising hunt is ruined by the supremely interfering Viscount Breckenridge, who whisks her out of scandal-and straight into danger when a mysterious enemy seizes her, bundles her into a coach, and conveys her out of London.
Now it's up to the notorious Breckenridge to prove himself the hero she's been searching for all along...

Wish I could say that I have a favorite SL book but I've never read her work (I've just been getting back to historical romance books and have a lot of catching up to do..lol) but I have to say that I love the cover for Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue - and the blurb and mini review really make me want to read it- sounds
like Heather Cynster is a heroine I would like.

I love all of Stephanie's books and have read every book in the Cynster series. I'm looking forward to being able to read Heather's story. I love heroine's who are independent minded and knows what she is looking for in her life and know I'll be reading every book in the trilogy.

My favorite book by Stephanie was Where the Heart Leads whick brings Barnaby and Penope together. This book is the beginning of The Casebook of Barnaby Adair and I'm looking forward to more books being released in The Casebook of Barnaby Adair. Inspector Stokes also is in the book and all three characters were in previous books by Stepahnie. You also get to meet Barnaby's sweetheart Grielda and between the 4 characters Stephanie takes you on a never ending adventure that is not to be missed.

I love that Stephanie has her characters appear in other series so that I can enjoy them once again.

Wow, what a difficult decision to make. I have tons of Stephanie's books and enjoyed reading every one of them. However, the one that stands out for me is "Mastered by Love" with Royce and Minerva's story. Wow, that book was exciting, and red hot.

I love the cover art on the cover of Stephanie's new book "Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue". The dress is absolutely gorgeous and, I have to say how much I loved seeing the K.I.S.S. and Teal on the front cover. What a great way to bring awareness to this worthy cause.

Thanks for such an amazing giveaway.

Thanks for the review. I've been looking forward to this book & trilogy for (it seems) forever ;) glad it won't disappoint. Like many others, it's hard to pick a favorite as several via for that title for different reasons. If I must choose one I'll say Mastered by Love -- it was great to finally get to know the real Dalziel/Wolverstone and see him find both love and resolve his final spy case.

About Me

My Photo
Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
