Today I am thrilled to be apart of Reena Jacobs blog tour for her latest release I LOVED YOU FIRST. This is a heartbreaking fantastic story of friendship and such a deep love that is almost breaks two people to the core. Alex and Seth are both deeply passionate characters who are trying to find their way. Alex is so in love with her best friends who by the way dates other women to keep hidden the fact that he is gay.
A journey, sometimes a painful one it has become beyond necessary that Alex and Seth give their relationship or friendship a much needed breather. It is harsh for Alex when she has to terms that Seth is gay, no exceptions to that fact. He only dated all those woman to keep up appearances and wasn't ready to come out of the closet.
Rich in emotion and such a stunningly real character driven story, Jacobs delivers everything the readers are looking for and more!!!
Alexandria (Alex) Carmichael guards two secrets close to her heart. One—she’s in love with her best friend, Seth. Two—he’s gay.
As a freshman in college, Alex looks forward to fun times with her best friend. When Seth decides cycling through girlfriends is the way to fit in with the straight crowd, Alex must make a choice: watch Seth give his affections to another while her heart breaks or come clean with her feelings and risk losing his friendship forever.
I Loved You First is a new adult love story told through the eyes of an African-American/Caucasian student who takes a journey of self-discovery while watching her best friend come to terms with his sexuality. Turn the pages and find a message of hope, new beginnings, and positive change.

After reading the blurb, I felt a bit touched. I can imagine unrecipricated love. Been there, done that. But to love someone so deeply, so throughly to the bone, and KNOW that there's no way they can ever be with you because of their sexual orientation, that's just painful. This one has to go on my TBR list.
