Falke's Peak by Anna Leigh Keaton

I am totally loving the latest batch of releases from Carina Press this month, among one of my favorites is FALKE'S PEAK by Anna Leigh Keaton . What a great story to kick off a series. Shifters, gotta love them!

Dakota is for an adventure of a lifetime, on a week long vacation but it is never fun being the third wheel, and that is exactly what she is when she takes off on vacation with her best friend and her boyfriend. So what is a girl to do, go on a week long wilderness adventure with one heck of a sexy guide.

So being stuck in a cabin while the snow falls turns out to be one of the best few days of her life. The strange think is that there is this pesky cougar who is part of their vacation as well. Surprised that she isn't deathly afraid of this powerful and stunning beast is something new for Dakota. But she is having the time of her life, so questioning it and the feelings that she is quickly feeling with Axel is completely indescribable. At least to her.

That is because Axel and his twin Gunner has smelt their mate, and that would be Dakota. So worried that they can not rush her or scare her away they fight with their own emotions and inner cougar's determination to claim it's mate. Exposing their clan and who they are to the world is their worst fear come alive so they have to be perfectly clear that Dakota is the right one and that when they do expose who they are that she will not go running for the hills or tell anyone who will listen all about the shifters.

This story was a really fast read for me, there wasn't a moment when I wanted to stop reading I was so determined and engrossed in their love story that I couldn't put the book down until I was finished completely. Gunner, Dakota and Axel's personalities meshed so well together with their clever banter as well as their passion is evident with every word. Dakota has a lot to think about, especially when she realizes the brother's tricked her and took it upon themselves to make decisions for her.

I can't wait to read the other books that are sure to come in this new series and if they are anything like Falke's Peak they won't disappoint. A fun and sexy shifter story that will make you only wish for more with an entertaining plot, fun characters that will draw you in, then the love story begins and you are hooked !

She couldn't believe her eyes.
Stressed out ad-exec Dakota wandered into Catamount Outfitters in search of a guide for a wilderness excursion. She didn't expect to be greeted by not one, but five of the most ruggedly delicious-looking men she'd ever seen. Not to mention a live cougar guarding the shop.
The Falke brothers have more than just good looks in their genes.
Eldest brother Axel agrees to guide Dakota on her mountain trek. In cougar form, Axel's twin, Gunnar, was there as a protection from predators—but he had his eye on the sexy client instead.
Into the wild...
While the rule with clients was "paws-off," both Axel and Gunnar couldn't resist Dakota's seductive Native American beauty and determination. As cold days led to hot nights in the cabin, Axel and Gunnar wondered if they'd finally found a woman strong enough to tame them...

About Me

Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
