This is a story that will keep you on your toes from beginning to end starting first with MacKayla Lane’s life about to change in a serious and deadly way. She is heading off to Ireland to find out how and why her sister died.
Leaving behind a good life and honestly a little bit safe and spoiled life, the circumstances for her sister's death leave too many open and unanswered questions. The only clues she has is from the ones that her sister left for her about finding the Dark Book.
Confused, this small town southern girl starts her investigation going in circles. Until she walks into Jericho Barron's book shop and the drama and danger really begin.
One thing about the world of the Fae is that I feel when I read books I am transported into such a world of fantasy and possibility that I am constantly on the edge of my seat. With MacKayla and Jericho I felt that way as she begins to unravel who she really is. She has powers she didn't even knew existed. And Jericho for me walked a fine line of love and hate. I think he fit the bill for all things mysterious, all those things your mama told you to stay away from, Jericho exudes them ten fold!
So if you are looking for a series that is high impact on suspense and drama, fantasy with a hint (a small one) of romance then this is the series for you. The world of the Fae isn't for the faint of heart, it is a world of power, and death and deceit as well as beauty and DARKFEVER is just the appetiser. Enough to wet your pallet and leave you wanting more.
***All Fall 2010 TCL will be running a tour for each book with the launch of SHAWDOWFEVER, so check out the schedule HERE and don't forget to enter to win!!!!***
MacKayla Lane’s life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she’s your perfectly ordinary twenty-first-century woman. Or so she thinks…until something extraordinary happens.
When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death–a cryptic message on Mac’s cell phone–Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister’s killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed–a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae….
As Mac delves deeper into the mystery of her sister’s death, her every move is shadowed by the dark, mysterious Jericho, a man with no past and only mockery for a future. As she begins to close in on the truth, the ruthless Vlane–an alpha Fae who makes sex an addiction for human women–closes in on her. And as the boundary between worlds begins to crumble, Mac’s true mission becomes clear: find the elusive Sinsar Dubh before someone else claims the all-powerful Dark Book–because whoever gets to it first holds nothing less than complete control of the very fabric of both worlds in their hands….
