FALLOUT by Karlene Blakemore-Mowle

Two characters who will grab a hold of you and take you on a wild ride that you don’t want to end, this is how I felt about FALLOUT by Karlene Blakemore-Mowle! One wounded soul and one fighting for their life, their career and just a bit of sanity in their chaotic life this is the story of Tully and Jake.

Tully is a touch chick, but with that being said she is a cop. In fact a detective so she has to have some cohunes to make it on the force, especially with what they see everyday. Now all that toughness is going to be tested in a way she never thought, her life has turned upside down and now she is in hiding. That is until the trial of a notorious mob boss takes place and Tully has a chance to testify. If she can stay alive that long! But with that that toughness, both mental and physical there is a vulnerability that hits at the heart of who Tully is. Naturally there is an immense fear that she won’t make it to testify but she is not without her sarcastic sense of humor which I grew to love. For Example the second night of meeting her neighbor Jake she wants quite, he’s having a party, too loud, too late. So what is a girl to do, well simple, Tully goes to his circuit breaker and shuts off all his electricity. Problem solved party over. I laughed out loud on that one.

Then there is Jake, attraction to Tully stars immediately, even when she has him face down in the dirt for trying to break into her house. He has those tough guy alpha qualities about him without being too overbearing I found him enduring and simple just a good, caring kind of guy. Going through his own pain he has left the army from injury, extensive burns that left him more than a little wounded physically but scared mentally as well.

Insane and action packed adventure; Fallout will take you on one wild ride. Hot, sexy and sweet and never lacking in excitement Tully and Jake's burgeoning relationship is delicious and explosive!

Risking their lives for others is second nature, but can they trust each other enough to risk their hearts?
Tully Chambers is no damsel in distress. An up and coming detective, she had her sights set on promotion until the day her partner was murdered and she ended up on the run from the mob.
Jake Holden has demons of his own. Having served his country for over twenty years, he’s found himself wounded, alone, and without a plan for his future. What starts as a simple diversion--trying to figure out the feisty little waitress next door—turns out to be his most dangerous mission yet.
From the tropics of Far North Queensland to the rugged isolation of the Northern Territory in Australia, two modern-day warriors discover their greatest fear isn’t that of a madman’s revenge–but of laying their hearts on the line for love.

About Me

My Photo
Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
