Wild Rodeo Nights by Sandy Sullivan

Book two in Sandy Sullivan's Wilder series, WILD RODEO NIGHTS has to be hands down my favorite in the series. Cole doesn't need to follow the rodeo from town to town, but he loves it and it gives him something to do. When he runs into Carrie she grabs his attention the moment he lays eyes on her. It doesn't matter that she is publicly accusing him of getting her 17 year old sister pregnant.

Carrie is a sad sole of sorts, unfortunately she has just had a rough time these past few years starting with her parents dying. She quite school and came home to run her parent Western story in town and now her sister is still in High School and pregnant to some traveling cowboy who could care less that she was a minor, much less offering to help her out. It all falls on Carrie.

Embarrassed when she realized she just accused the wrong man and informed the whole town about her sister, Carrie tucks tale and runs off. But that just intrigues Cole more, she is fierce and he wants nothing more to get her into his bed. Even if it is for a couple nights.

Cole really shows his patience and his sweet side while dealing with Carrie, offering to help her by working in her story and skipping out on the rodeo altogether. There bond is immediate and even hard-nosed and responsible Carrie lets her guards down to let Cole into her heart, despite her head telling her it was a bad idea. He made it clear this was just sex, a fling, no promises. Both Carrie and Cole can't help themselves and emotions run deep.

Cole returns to Carrie after about 6 months of no contact. He can't take it anymore, something about Carrie pulls at his heart and he knows that it is worth trying to see if the sparks that were once there are still lit. But tragedy strikes Carrie again as well as Cole, I felt their pain every step of the way with tears running down my face. Sandy Sullivan created two of the most endearing character's in Cole and Carrie, both dealing with their own heartbreaks as well as their love once again being pushed to the back burner. Cole and Carrie really stepped out from the pages and into my heart, I felt apart of their lives and the plot will leave you breathless and wanting for more! Cole must learn that life without risk, and most especially without love, is no life at all, but getting past stubborn pride and accepting Carrie's love will be his ultimate challenge.

A beautiful story of love, loss and acceptance that will blow you away and keep you coming back for more!

Carrie’s bitter. Losing her parents and finding out her teenage sister is pregnant with no father in sight, has just about left her without direction. Running her parent’s store dominates her days, until one hunky rodeo cowboy decides to help out. Will she let Cole become a permanent fixture in her life or will his temporary lifestyle become a all she isn’t willing to climb? Can she convince him to stay? Cole rides bulls. A temporary woman is right up his alley until he runs smack into one protective Carrie Marsh. When she sticks her claws into him at the bar, accusing him of getting her sister pregnant, he’s fascinated. Her hazel eyes snap fire as she pins him to his seat. Can he tame the hellcat with the tongue sharper than cheap tequila? Does he want to or will the call of the rodeo pull him away

About Me

My Photo
Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
