Book one in Sarah-Jane Lehoux's Sevy series is Thief, which is a fast paced fantasy adventure with a fair amount of romance to spice up the pages. A story about revenge, love and ultimately choosing what is right and what you want. There in lies Sevy's dilemma, a thief who has grown up on the streets of Eloria. She has to steal just to survive day to day, no family and no real friends that she can trust. It was a hard way to grow up but it carved Sevy into the person she has become. Very hard around the edges, naive at times with it comes to romance and lonely.

That is until she picks the wrong pocket and ends up at the mercy of Jarro. He is a leader of a gang, but with a heart of gold. Something that could possibly be his downfall. But when he captures Sevy trying to pick his pockets he realizes that she needs his help.

This sets off a chain of events that neither Jarro or Sevy are prepared for. Testing who Sevy really is as a person and to what lengths she will go to, just to get what she wants. Without consequences to others she can be ruthless, but at other times her vulnerability shines through where the reader can really see how lonely and desperate Sevy is for love.

An amazing adventure through the world of Eloria and through Sevy's eyes. I can't wait for the sequel to come out and read about lies ahead for Sevy!
