Raed is charming, but there is something about the beautiful and witting American that has the hairs on the back of his neck at full attention. He doesn’t understand this insatiable attraction to her, they just met after all and he can only think about getting her in his bed. Not realizing exactly what she has gotten herself into, Raed is from the 6th century, not only that, he is a King and a werewolf to boot. He and has men aren’t just the werewolves, they are warriors. The God Tiw transformed Raedwald and his men century’s ago to kill off the werewolf sires of Fenris. The were’s that are from the line of Fenris kill for sport, to maim humans without regard and must be destroyed.
The war hits a little too close to home when Nathan, one of the Fenris descendants learns of Raed’s new love and the location of the warriors. Blood will be shed and lives will be lost if Raed and his men can’t stop him, but with Lexi now in the picture, Raed is positive that she is his mate. The fun part was how he was going to convince Lexi of that, oh and that he was an ancient King and a werewolf!
The dynamic between Raed and his 5 warriors is hilarious at times. Such different personalities they have it really makes you smile just wondering what is going to come out of Garrick’s mouth or Brand. He is the one of few words. Marisa Chenery really gives the reader a little piece of each warrior that bates and hooks you into wanting to read all about their stories and what type of woman she has planned to entrap each man’s heart. Raed himself was an easy sell for me, although he was arrogant and used to giving out orders as the King (or former King), his men still obeyed and respected his word. Now Lexi comes along and challenges him, she is strong willed and doesn’t allow him to walk all over her. I thoroughly enjoyed their encounters and banter and it was enjoyable to watch Raed grow as a man who was in love with a strong willed woman who had no intention of bowing down to him, especially at the beginning of their burgeoning relationship.
I deliciously sexy story, shifters who are hot, hot, hot. Not to mention charming, witting and just plane scrumptious. A love story that will light the sheets on fire and make you laugh at the banter between the two loves at same time, this is a can’t miss for anyone who loves a quick shifter/werewolf story that will draw you and not let go only leaving the reader eager for the next chapter in the lives of the Wolves of East Anglia.
Lexi Weller’s vacation in England doesn't exactly start off all that great when she almost ends up getting into a car accident. But when the driver of the car she almost hits steps out to speak with her, she finds herself practically drooling over him. And before it's all over, Mr. Tall, Muscular and Good-looking asks Lexi out on a date
Raedwald he hopes he hasn’t made a mistake by asking the sexy American out to dinner. Charged by the Anglo-Saxon god, Tiw, to protect mortals from the werewolves sired by Fenris the wolf, Raed knows he can’t put Lexi before his duty. But when Lexi comes to mean more to him than he ever imagined, Raed must find a way to explain what he is without scaring off the woman he never wants to let go.
