Review: Velocity by K.D Tracey & Anya Lynn Rhine

Velocity by K.D Tracey & Anya Lynn Rhine got me from the get go, a fast paced read about a young librarian and a famous race car driver. But I have to say that it kind of fizzled for me in a few places as well.
Rebecca was a sweet, quite and confident woman, a librarian who loved her job and when Mark comes into her library her life is about to change.
What surprises her is how sweet he is, not that egotistical hot head she would have expected for a hot race car driver, but she could see that he was a kind and gentle man. Not just that but he is sweet on a little orphan girl!
This was a very sensual book, hot and steamy in some places but a little too off in fantasy land for me. Although I did enjoy it, I have to be honest and that there were too many cliche obstacles in the way, especially with Mark trying to adopt the little girl.

What do you get when you mix a man that loves to go fast a bookworm?
Rebecca Lindsay is perfectly happy with her quiet life. She let her father live the fast life for both of them. But when Mark Anderson walks into her library with his tenderness towards a little orphaned girl, she loses her heart instantly. But is she ready to be the woman of a celebrity? Or will she make gossip and stupidity tear them a part.
Mark Anderson knows that all eyes are on him. There aren't many African American men who are NARC(National Adrenaline Racing Commission) drivers and after having to fight for his sponsor - he has every intention of behaving himself and winning the big race. But his love of books and children sends him into an obsession with a shy librarian that threatens to burn his body, break his heart and drive him crazy.

About Me

Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
