Ten Things You Don’t Know About Wendi Zwaduk
1. I was eleven before I got my ears pierced. My mom was freaked out that if I got my ears pierced, I’d grow up too fast. But my Memaw, who is a girly girl, insisted and took me to the mall. And go figure, there was a little girl there who just had her ears pierced and she screamed bloody murder. Do you think I backed out? Nope. I did, it hurt like heck, but I’m glad I did.
2. My best friend is someone I have yet to meet face to face. Sounds odd, doesn’t it? It’s true. She lives across the country, but almost every day, more than once a day, we’re chatting like a couple of school girls. And she knows more about me than people I know face to face. When I went camping and couldn’t yak with her for a couple days, yeah, I was a little lost.
3. For a writer, I can’t type to save my life. Spell check and the delete button are my favorite keys. I can write a whole line and see one misspelling and have to go back and fix it. I think the Delete key is the shiniest key on my laptop from sheer use.
4. Most people’s morning elixir is coffee... not me. Hand me a soda any day. Which one? I grew up with a father who drinks Mt. Dew like it’s water, so that’s a favorite. But if it’s not around? I’m a Pepper... Dr. Pepper. And don’t expect me to function without some sort of wake-me-up.
5. I’ve been known to hold my hair back with paint brushes. When I was in school, I was—and still am—an art geek, and when my hair would end up in my eyes, I used clean paintbrushes to hold it in check. No paintbrushes? Pencils, pens... those work, too.
6. Although I danced in high school, I’m all left feet. Sounds odd, huh? It’s true. Give me a choreographed Irish step dance and I’m good. Put me on a dance floor with a throbbing techno beat and you’ll see someone having a seizure... actually, no it’s just me.
7. I used to play the clarinet. I could even project like Benny Goodman. The band loved me because I made sure the audience heard my part when it had to be heard.
8. I’m lousy in the clutch. When it came to coming up with this list, I bugged my BFF because I wasn’t sure what to answer. People think I’m an open book. But seeing that I’m this far down the list, I guess I’m not as free with the info as I thought.
9. I’m OCD about my books and Cd’s. With Cd’s, they are in alpha order and when it comes to a single artist, like Gary Allan, the discs are in release date order. Yeah, like I said, OCD. For my books, same thing. Alpha order by author. For each author, then it’s release date order or grouping and release date. I can’t mix my Lori Foster UFC books with her Harlequin books. That would be uncivilized.
10. For the last one, I’ll reveal something about my muse, which is an extension of me. The muse is really two people. Him and Her. They won’t tell me their names, but they make quite the ruckus when they want my attention. Always when I’m somewhere where I can’t write down what they’re telling me.
Sometimes the love of your life isn’t the one you expect, but he’s the one you need.
Cass Jenson needs an actor for her made for TV movie. The previous actor dropped out, leaving her stranded. Her savior shows up looking sinfully sexy and totally right for the part, but what part is she auditioning him for? Her movie or her bed?
Logan Malone needs an acting job and fast. With his string of broken hearts, his professional life lies in shambles. To resurrect his career, he must audition for a television role which could be the job of a lifetime. That is, if he can work with distraction and Cass is a major distraction with a heart of gold. Is their budding relationship enough to survive separation, lies, and a couple zany fans?
Excerpt:
Logan’s hand caressed her shoulder.
“Can I help you finish? You and your friend should be sipping margaritas and ordering the lawn boy around, not sweating yourselves to death.”
She raised her brows. “You thought being a movie star meant you were entitled, that’s what.”
A wolfish grin curled his lips. Flecks of gold lit his hazel eyes, sending a fresh rush of lust to her core. He leaned in very close to her ear. “Maybe.”
She took a fortifying breath and fought the urge to taste him. Damn that cologne. Her heart skipped a beat. She donned her best sultry smile. Two could play his game. “Really?”
He nodded. She licked her dry lips. How could one man be so irritating and damn sexy at the same time? She scooted close enough so her bare knee brushed against his denim-clad thigh. Firm muscles without an ounce of fat. Ooh. “Do you want to explore?”
“Uh-huh.”
Cass took his hand, teasing his palm with her fingers and caressing the creases in his skin. His voice went from friendly to sexy in an instant, making her thighs quiver with excitement. “Cass.”
“Yes.” She bit her bottom lip and filled his hand. “Okay. Explore to your little heart’s content.”
His eyes opened wide before he scrunched his brows. “Keys?”
Cass grinned. “Yep.” His blank expression turned into a frown. “For what?”
She patted his thigh and stood up. “The mower. Tell me when you finish. I’ve got an acre in the back that’s got your name on it.”

The book sounds good. I loved reading your answers. How many people really know themselves, much less their friends?
April 29, 2010 10:51 PMMy mornings consist of Red Bull - NO coffee coming my way if I can help it! It used to be SoBe Adrenaline Rush - but they don't make it any more - what does that mean for me after starting and finishing my day with a can of it for 5 years?
