An Earl to Enchant by Amelia Grey

What a sinfully delicious read An Earl to Enchant was by author Amelia Grey, which is the 3rd and final in the series The Rogue’s Dynasty. Lord Lukas Morgandale has left London and all the posh parties and duties of society life for a quieter existence. Too bad he is bored to death with country life, well, that is until Arianna Sweet comes into his life.

Arianna has left India after her father’s death, living there most of her life she flees to England to seek help from Lady Eder who was an old friend of her father’s. Right off I knew that Arianna was going to be charming and tough, not too tough, she has a gentle and subtle side to her, but her father has been murdered, brutally so and she has left with her father’s research. Her father believed he had found the cure for consumption and now someone wants credit for her father’s work.

Startled by Arianna’s beauty and exotic air Lukas can’t help but be swept away by her, especially since he thinks that she is the courtesan he has arranged for the night. What happens next really sets up Lukas and Arianna’s foundation, the banter between the two is witty and clever and made me laugh out loud a time or two. What a way to start out a relationship of any kind with that kind of miscommunication of mistaken identity. Lukas the good man that he is wants to help her in every way, but settling down right now for him isn't in the cards. I loved that Arianna wasn't afraid of her feelings for Lukas which in turn made it harder for him to resists her!

A little suspense, but this book is mostly about the romance (which I love), charming characters that grab your heart and melt it slowly as the love blossoms between Arianna and Lukas. Completely beguiling and never misses a beat with memorable characters, sensual love scenes and a lovely ending to a fantastic series.

He’s determined not to be a hero…
Lord Morgandale is as notorious as he is dashing, and he’s determined no woman will tie him down. But from the moment Arianna Sweet appears on his doorstep, he cannot resist the lure of her fascinating personality, exotic wardrobe, and tempting green eyes…
She has a deadly secret…
Arianna Sweet never imagined the significance of her father’s research until after his untimely death. Now she is in possession of his groundbreaking discovery, one that someone would kill for. She can’t tell Lord Morgandale her secret, but she knows she needs his help, desperately…

I like historical romance and this sounds like a good one. I'll have to catch up on the rest of the series.

About Me

My Photo
Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
