Vijaya has created a fascinating world of Kassouk, a frozen world, the world of Humans, Godds, Reptoids and Mutants, the world of Tora. Known as the White Tiger, Tora knows that there is something drastically wrong with her world. The Godds and the Reptoids are playing a vicious game using the Humans and the Zerkers as pawns. But to what purpose?
Tora's father has just been murdered, killed by a soldier who has betrayed him and she is determined to average his death at all costs. But on his death bed right in the first few pages he tells her that he is not her father. Tomaso loved her as his own, but her mother begged him to marry her and was already with child at the time. Tora, well she is a warrior to the bone. She knows that the system of the Godds is corrupt and there is more going on then they are telling the people (Humans). Believing that she is honoring her father, so takes her army and heads to war, the Zerkers of humans living on the edge. Killers and outcasts, Tora and the army must stop them before they are able to invade their lands completely.
In comes Dragomir, he is a Mutant (Godd father), he has been working for the Godds as a spy, now sent to work with Tora and her Army to find out who is plotting against the Godds. But he too is suspicious of the Godds and all their political games, something is going on behind the scenes and he is determined to find out.
Sexy and fierce, Dragomir is a force to be reckoned with, he and Tora's attraction is hot from the beginning. But he is a Mutant and she a Human (or so she thinks), thus forbidden to be together. Together they will find out what is going on, even though Dragomir is suspicious of Tora he can't hold back his attraction. Makes for a sizzler of a read, bringing the reader into the stunning world of Kassouk where Vijaya created such beautiful imagery I wanted to reach out and touch it. Mainly because it is unlike anything that I have ever read, with fantastical elements are woven seamlessly into the lives of these characters, making the reader feel a part of the action. Tora is about to learn a that life without risk, and most especially without love, is no life at all.
