In Tierney O'Malley's latest release Wicked Knight we are introduced to the Knight brothers, four of the most stunning men, smart and all very very sexy. Every woman's fantasy come to life, that includes Julie Parrish as well. She has known the Knight family for 6 months, when she saved Kristen's life all those months ago the warm and loving Knights took her in as one of their own. Although Julie was a full grown woman, she saved Kristen's life and they all loved Julie as she was just a wonderful and honest person who stepped up when no one else would. Having been a bit of a troublemaker while growing up, vying for her parents attention in desperate acts of rebellion, only to in turn hurt her mother deeply, sadly to woman died too soon for Julie to make her amends. In her mother's will to retain her fortune she is to be a good girl. Julie must keep her family name clean and become a woman of respect, and this is something about Julie that I loved, she was strong willed in keeping her promise to behave and live a good life, I always felt her desire just to be loved. A challenge she is pleased to fulfill, to prove to herself and her dead mother that she is and will remain a good person. If only life were that easy, her father's wife and her son have been trying to get at Julie's money for years, making up stories and trying to sabotage her, with no help from her drunk of a father.
In comes Tristan Knight, for the 6 months his family has embraced Julie he hasn't been able to keep his eyes off her. She is just beautiful, inside and out, and Tristan recognizes that beauty a little too much for his own liking. Tristan was betrayed by his ex-wife who he thought he loved, a woman who destroyed his heart, turning Tristan into a shell of the man he was. Having lived through that, barely, he has vowed to NEVER love again... ever! Easier said than done with Julie. What makes Julie special is her wonderful sense of humor and her honest sincerity. The jokes they play on each other has me laughing out loud! Sparks fly for Tristan and Julie as they are not able to contain their feelings any longer, their friendship has taken the next logical step for two people who desire each other they way they do. And what comes next is some love scenes that will curl your toes and capture your heart, as Tristan realizes he has fallen in love with Julie.
What would love be without a little drama, in comes the evil step mother Marla, and she believes she has the bullet that is going to be Julie's demise. The evidence she has will help her gain Julie's fortune and destroy her good name forever. But Julie has a silver bullet of her own, a loop hole in her mother's will, if she marries then no one can touch her money. A secret wedding is planned and when Tristan volunteers to be her groom their fates are set. But little did the two know that they were in love with each other, Julie believe Tristan's grand favor of marrying her was out of gratitude for saving his sister's life. Oh silly Julie can't see that Tristan is mad about her. I just couldn't stop turning the pages to learn about how these two were going to interact with one another, albeit with humor and sarcasm as they teased each other or with their lovemaking I found them addictive. Cheering them on hoping Tristan and Julie will realize their love in time and Marla will get her due!
Lot's of drama, a generous amount of humor even in the most heated situations, I too fell in love with all the Knights and can't wait to hear all of their stories. Three more Knight brother's and a sister, just makes me all giddy inside knowing that I will get to hear all of their stories in the future!
