Review: Players by Angela Daniels

Who has better skills at the art of being a player? Through a highly erotic battle of skills Mishon and Ryan are about to find out. But what Mishon isn't too sure of is if Ryan is really just out to prove his new and improved skills, or is there love and something real in their future?

Who said that friends couldn't be lovers? Shouldn't any good relationship have a solid base of friendship? Hum, just not the way Mishon thought about her best pal Ryan. Ryan...Ryyyannn??? He is a geek, not her style and certainly not her speed. Not to be conceited, but the beautiful Mishon is used to having men fall at her feet and then there was always trusty ole Ryan. She has known him since college and Ryan has decided to change his entire self, doing a complete overhaul from the inside out. Ryan wants to be a player, a womanizer, well at least have the skills. The skills to seduce and bring a woman to her knees kind of lover..... to Mishon.

What I loved about this was how Ryan brought Mishon to her knees, not just sexually but emotionally as well. Mishon is a Player herself, men at her feet, never having to work for it. Ryan most definitely puts a stutter in her step and frankly I enjoyed seeing her off kilter a little, it was good for her, I liked her immensely and wanted to realize that what she has with Ryan can be passionate and let her emotional guards down! Challenged beyond what she is prepared for. It was time for Mishon to meet her match and what a deliciously sinful lesson Ryan was all too willing to teach her. Fast paced and wickedly naughty, Players will light your fires and warm your heart.

Book Junkie's Rating: 4/5

Synopsis: "Mishon Lewis has always enjoyed having men fall at her designer shoe-clad feet. And none more so than her attractive but geeky college bud Ryan Anders. But now, Ryan has transformed himself into a hot womanizer by taking a How To Be A Player course. As he turns his newly acquired skills on her, she wonders if he’s using her as his final exam. Well, if so, he’s in for one helluva battle. She’ll crack his newfound and oh so sexy confidence and have him panting for her once more.
Ryan has lusted after the sexy siren since they met. But watching her skim through, and reject, men other women would do anything to keep, had convinced him she was out of his league. That was before the course. With a re-imaging and new skills has come a confidence he’s always wanted. And even better, the ability to go head to head with Mishon.
What neither of them realizes is that there is a third player in their game. Love."

About Me

Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
