Review: Three to Play by Kris Cook

You know when you read a book and you are on page 3, then it hits you...... you know, you just know you can't stop. This is going to be an all-nighter, putting this baby down isn't an option! Want that feeling, to share my pain of exhaustion and bliss from reading a FANTASTIC story! Then kiddies, you have to check out Kris Cook's Three to Play. Hold on to your panties ladies, this is a goodie, a smokin hot, fast paced ride that just makes you want more! Let's start with our players, Beth, Clint & Dustin, Beth has been working the morning show at the talk radio station for 10 years and is how do you put this delicately... pissed off royally, and that's putting it nicely, with the appearance the dynamic duo of Clint and Dustin. Knowing they were brought in for ratings and to eventually replace her. Thing is, the instant Beth meets the boys there is an instant attraction and that just pisses her off more! Fiercely loyal and a take charge sort of woman Beth wants to prove to them that she can hang with the big boys AND she isn't going anywhere! Clint is your tall, dark and sexy type that holds an air about him with his quite brooding, intense stare, smooth talking, heavily sexual innuendo on air, but all too harsh words off air. Dustin is his polar opposite, just as tall and muscular but he is the carefree spirit and consummate flirt, on and off the air making Beth blush at every turn. Beth is ten years their senior, but knows that these two have about 10 more years worth of experience sexually than she does so when Dustin suggests that they celebrate their double decade birthdays together she reluctantly agrees. Oh you silly silly girl, did you think by letting these two very attractive and highly sexual men into your home that you were just going to eat cake and drink wine? Clint is determined to seduce Beth and no amount of warning or hostile looks or lectures from Clint will get in his way. Clint too is highly attracted to Beth, but his appetite sexually is a little darker, actually much, much darker. A side to him that he hides so desperately from him best friend since college, Dustin would freak out if he knew that is for sure. And Beth, well he is pretty sure the sassy lady will love it just as much as he does. What ensues next as you can imagine is some steamy and out of this world sex and with a threesome often times comes jealousy. The next morning regrets, but it stems a little deeper, Beth is convinced that they only slept with her as a tool to use against her in hopes for more ammunition to get her fired and off the air faster. No matter that their numbers are up at a trio on the morning show these two have a reputation of leaving old announcers in the dust. So much misunderstanding and so many secrets it is truly heartfelt to watch Clint come to terms with his feelings for Beth, his own sexuality and boundaries as well as all their futures on the radio working together. Clint never hiding his loyalty towards his best friend nor of his feelings towards Beth he is the beacon of light throughout the entire story, the one constant that can pull them and hold them together.

5 STARS- LOVED IT! COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN
SYNOPSIS: "Just three weeks from her dreaded fortieth birthday, Beth Taylor's radio show is turned upside-down. Corporate gurus force her to take on sexy duo Clint Moore and Dustin Lake for a new broadcasting morning team. Beth doesn't have the patience to deal with the young bucks, in or out of the bedroom. But both Clint and Dustin are determined to share her, and nothing will get in their way. When the three end up in bed, will old secrets force them apart or bring them together for a lifetime of passion? "

About Me

My Photo
Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
