Review: Wolf Flight by Vivian Arend

This is my second book that I have read by Vivian Arend and I just can't stop there! First was Tidal Wave which is beyond fantastic! Now Wolf Flight which is book 2 in the Granite Lake Wolves Series. This is the story of Tad who is wolf, ok so he is an un-triggered wolf who has yet to find his mate as well as his ability to transform into a wolf. He is also a pilot and a secret lost of Missy, the woman who he has been e-mailed the last 4 months. The same woman who he had feelings for ten years ago while still in highschool. Learning only of his heritage if you will two years ago he is still learning the ways and customs of his people and trying to live his life at the same time. Not to mention the stress of knowing that his adopted sister, who is deaf, is wolf as well. That little factoid he has yet to mention to her. Missy who is an Omega with another pack who is on the run sort of speak. Her husband has died, or rather killed by his brother their Alpha. Doug is ruthless and wants Missy and her Omega powers for himself and for what he can accomplish by controlling her. She is granted the customary six month morning period and takes off with a research team to Canada and back home where she grew up, back to Tad. Now already in the first few pages you can't help but adore Tad, he wants love, real love, true love and passion when he takes a mate. He will not sacrifice for anything less even willing to risk ignoring his wolf for the happiness he desires so badly. Things happen quick the moment Missy steps back into his life, already the heated attraction is there and they are both hard-pressed to fight it. Actually they can't, which makes the story oh so delicious. They barely held hands back in high school and now they can't keep their hands off each other. There is something that Missy is hiding though, but Tad's sister has not just found out she is a wolf, but she has found her mate, an alpha of a pack in Alaska. Tad is willing to give up everything to be with Missy thinking that she is human, when he finds out that she too is a wolf he is crushed. He thinks that the powers and arousal of first mate are tempting the scales when it comes to her feelings toward him. Almost like a drug, he believes that she only THINKS she is in love with him. And he, the gentle soul that he is won't bind her to that false fate. Oh, I wanted to shake him! Yell, she loves you idiot. But all too soon Tad learns that this Missy is his true mate, their love for each other and the powerful desire that they both feel, it is genuine. Oh sweet love, the bliss never lasts for long. Doug, comes to challenge Tad and wants Missy back. Will Tad be able to fight Doug. He is a big bad alpha with some seriously evil tricks up his sleeve and Tad has yet to make a full change until the full moon. Exciting and action packed I couldn't put this book down until I read the last word. The passion and love with Tad and Missy was so sweet, pure and at times smokin hot that I knew I had to finish in one night just to see what happened in the end. I can't wait for more of those Granite Lake Wolves!

5 STARS- LOVED IT! COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN

Synopsis: "Granite Lake Wolves, Book 2
Tad Maxwell’s workaholism serves to keep his bush pilot company in the air, and his inner werewolf in check. In the two years since he discovered his heritage, he’s resisted the longing to test the power of his wolf side. It would mean compromising his human principals.
Then Missy Leason re-enters his life. Ten years ago, their teenage attraction never went beyond hand-holding. Now their chemistry is off the charts, pushing him closer to the step he’s not sure it’s safe to take, especially with a human.
But Missy is more like Tad than he realizes. She’s wolf too, and a wolf pack is a dangerous place to have secrets. Missy’s alpha has sniffed out her carefully hidden Omega powers. Her first response: run from the corrupt alpha’s plan to make her his mate. Step two: get to Tad, and hope like hell his untapped powers are strong enough to negate her own.
Every touch with Missy is hot, hot, hot, but even finding out she’s pure wolf doesn’t solve Tad’s dilemma. Is she using him, or are they truly destined mates? Only one thing is certain. He will defend her to his last breath—on his terms. Even if it means losing his life.
Warning: Contains nasty Alphas, secret Omegas and werewolves acting raunchy on the dance floor. Sarcasm, wilderness cabins, and hot nookie back by popular demand

I hate when there are misunderstandings between two people who are totally in love with each other !

By your review, I guess the author has written excellently. After all, writing captivating fantasy books isn't an easy task !!

This book will surely be in my wish list, and soon in my TBR pile.
Thanks for your review.

About Me

Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
