Review: A Question of Love by Jess Dee

A Question of Love is a sequel to Jess Dee's anthology A Question of Trust that was released last fall and having read that anthology I knew I MUST get my hands on A Question of Love! I was desperate to read Gabe Carter's story. And needless to say I was more than thrilled with Jess agreed to let me read an ARC of A Question of Love and she was also been kind enough to to answer a few of my questions about her latest release as well as offer a giveaway for all you readers! But my little chickadees you will have to wait until tomorrow 11/04 for the Interview and Giveaway details! Now, I have a review for you that I hope will give you a little insight about what a great read this is! A long time fan of Jess Dee I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, and darn it if she succeeded once again in sucking me into the world of Gabe, Conner & Tina who used to all be lovers. Conner and Tina were dating and Gabe was brought into for a menage relationship as the two friends have often shared their lovers before, but with a very damaging and specific pact...... who ever brings the third (woman) into the triad, that woman ultimately stays with that person. So when Gabe fell in love with Tina four years ago he knew that in his heart she was his soul mate, the love of his life. He also knew in his heart that he could not and would not break his pact with Conner and steal his girl. So what's a jealous man to do with no way to claim his true love without betraying his best friends. He leaves. Devastating Tina to the core. She was desperately in love with both Conner and Gabe, together all three of them made a whole or at least Conner and Gabe did, without one, they all would fall. And that they did.
Gabe, oh Gabe.... as much as I wanted to kick the man for leaving Tina I couldn't help but feel for him, he came back to claim Tina and make her his. Not once but twice, the first time not able to get past her sister and realizing that she was in love with someone else and moving on with her life. Or so he thought, this time he isn't taking no for an answer. He will have her and he goes about it in a very aggressive way. Tina, I loved her. Mainly because she doesn't give into him right of way, although her heart breaks all over again the moment he walks up to her, she remains strong in front of him. Minus a few lust filled stolen kisses. Gabe is relentless and finally is able to break through to Tina and he knows, he knows she loves him, but, and there always is a big one...........she tells him that she can't love him without Conner. Tina will only go back to him if they could all be together again. But that is impossible because Conner has found his heart in Maddie and moved on himself. This crushes Gabe and watching Tina realize and finally come to the conclusion that it is Gabe and Gabe only in her heart makes for such a beautiful and at times heart breaking story. A journey I am glad I took with Gabe and Tina until the end.
