Giveaway & Review: Dark Stranger by Susan Sizemore

Susan Sizemore's latest release, Dark Stranger is not a continuation of her Primes Series, well sort of. There is a very cool twist, the story is being read by the Vampire Book Club, which is an interesting approach really as we are once again graced with the Vampire General Doc (Matthias Raven), and the stunning Empire Princess Zoe. Zoe feels that he duty comes first and is torn with the uber sexy vamp Doc comes into her life. Things is it is forbidden and just plain unheard of for Vamps to get entangled with anyone else but another vamp. But Doc is living among the humans and he is the leader among the humans in a prisoner of war camp that Zoe finds herself trapped in. I loved their chemistry and the fact that this is set way in the future to Sizemore's Primes series, so it's a little off the beaten path if you are Primes fan, but just as delicious. There are lasers and aliens and treason, all the fun stuff to go along with a wonderful love story of two who are forbidden to love. But while in prison Zoe's status us discovered and someone willing to kill no matter what is determined to do just that. Her only protector .... you got it, Doc. Although I did enjoy the book thoroughly I have to say it was a little slower in the beginning and hard to wrap my head around all the characters and "futuristic" names. But with that being said, it was most definitely a quality read!
