REVIEW.....Term of Surrender by Becky Barker

Cassie was in love with Body, hands down in love, a love that never faded, even when she left him years ago. They had grown up in the same small town, the three of them, which included the rodeo hero Chuck Groves, who all those years ago she took off with and left Brody high and dry all this time thinking that he would never commit fully to her and make her his which includes a family someday. All this time Brody believes that Cassie betrayed him with Chuck, but even though they did try being together sexually, both Cassie and Chuck remained good friends and roommates this entire time on the circuit. So feeling the loss of Brody more than ever, she returns home to try and made amends and get Brody's heart and trust back. Cassy has asked Brody for a second chance and he gives it to her, but not without a few rules. These include basically just being there for sex and whatever else he needs. He makes her aware that this isn't a relationship and never will be, she can stay with him for his pleasure and under his rules. But Cassie is resourceful and knows that this is her penance and she is willing to do just about anything to get back into Brody's life again and make him lover her. What she doesn't know if that he never stopped. The interesting part about this book is that although it was a fast read, the emotional journey that Cassie and Brody work through is pretty basic, but of corse they make it difficult with jealousy, betrayal and the simple fact that now that they back in one another's lives neither wants to let go. What they do have to do is to let go of the past and learn forgiveness. Brody for Cassie leaving especially as he learns the real reason's for her departure. And for Cassie, she must let Brody work through his emotions on his own and learn to trust and love her again. Would I recommend...yes! It is a fun and juicy read that I know you will love!

SNIPPET: "Only one way to trust her-teach her the true meaning of tamed. Years ago, Cassie Pallard let her wild and headstrong nature cost her the best thing in her life: Brody Chambers. Older and wiser, she's back to try to heal the hurt and win her way back into his heart-and his bed. Not so fast, says Brody. He loved Cassie most of his life, but her temper-driven desertion destroyed his faith in her and their future. If she wants his trust, she'll have to earn it. Before he opens his heart again, he plans to make it clear his love comes with strings. And handcuffs. And a blindfold..."

About Me

Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
