Review...True Blue Love: The Thorns, Book 3 by Melissa Lopez

I thoroughly enjoyed Melissa Lopez's 3rd installment of the Thorne Brothers, True Blue Love ending with Miller Thorne. I found him really the most interesting and complex if the three brothers throughout the series. Miller Thorne is the 3rd brother and the eldest not to mention the most bitter brother who is a bush pilot and about to encounter a sharp and witty young American who is only interested in his body..... well, at first that it. He had a lost love in his youth a betrayal of being left at the alter, literally by his fiancĂ© only for her to re-unite with his younger brother with their child in tow. The man has just had a bad decade or two, but when he is seating on a flight next two a beautiful young American all that is about to change. Kaycee Hallenbeck throws caution to the wind and propositions the sexy Miller Throne to a one night stand. No names, no history just sex, sex sex and a little more sex on the side. After all she has left the states for Australia to start a new life as a nurse for one year. The problem? One night turns into two, turns into three and before you know it Miller and Kaycee are actually enjoying each other’s company outside the bedroom as well. When Kaycee is scammed on her flight to the outback where she is to start work, Miller being a bush pilot comes to the rescue. Their chemistry is great, I felt that Miller although being burned a few times had locked his heart away; Kaycee slowly begins to chip at all those walls he has put up. He even takes her home to stay at his Station while her apartment is being fixed up. Of course his mother attempts to stay out of his business as much as possible I did find her bit parts in this 3rd book charming and realistic. Kaycee thinks she is free of her past and her abusive husband, he is dead after all or is he really? This book took a turn I wasn’t expecting and was pleasantly surprised to have little who done it at the end. It is a fun adventure with Miller and Kaycee while you travel with them on all the ups and downs wishing for Miller to just give love one more chance and Kaycee finally being able to let go of her past.

SNIPPET: "Can a red-hot fling equal true blue love? The Thorns, Book 3 Something's flying on Miller Thorn's trip home to the Australian bush-and it's not just the plane. The attractive American woman sitting next to him is striking sparks hotter than an Outback wildfire. Miller's never claimed to be good at relationships-witness the straining ties that bind his own family-but this woman is just his type. The type that flat-out asks for a one-night stand. No strings, no names. Kaycee Hollenbeck's ready to start a new life as a free woman, and what better launching pad than a gorgeous Australian's bed? Anonymity suits her just fine, but a girl's gotta know whose name to scream. One night turns into two, and suddenly fate seems to be conspiring to weaken their determination to keep it simple. Particularly when it turns out her new job is just down the road from the Thorn family station. Caught between a family that's falling apart and a woman he doesn't know how to let go of, Miller struggles with trust issues when a secret from Kaycee's past rears its ugly head. A secret that could threaten the future they had told themselves they never wanted in the first place... "

About Me

Brande
I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
