Review: Letters from Home by Rhonda Nelson

First and foremost I am a mega fan of Rhonda Nelson, I just love her books and her series Men out of Uniform. Now with Harlequin's Uniformity Hot series Rhonda has two books for June and July which if THE SOLDIER is half as good as LETTERS FROM HOME I will be scrambling to my closest bookstore to pick up! I started the book last night and finished about 1am. I couldn't put it down. It was a fun fast read with just enough heat to keep the pages turning! I laughed out load with RN's THE PLAYER and cried as well. With LETTERS FROM HOME you are transformed right of way into the life of Levi McPherson who is a active duty Army Ranger. He is sexy and wounded, just how we like them right, but he is strong and persistent to find out who the mysterious Ms. X (as in x-rated) is. She is the anonymous woman sending Levi love letters from home. Levi knows that it is someone back home that is heating up fantasies. The letters are sexually explicit and reference his family, his boat and the town he grew up in. The fact that he was left at the alter two years prior by a cheating fiancé hasn't deterred Levi from finding out who Ms. X is, but as he reads the red-hot and steamy letters he can only imagine his brothers best friend Natalie Rowland. Levi isn't sure that there isn't something going on with his brother Adam and Natalie, but that doesn't stop him from imagining Natalie in the staring role in his sexy fantasies. Levi comes home as his brother is severely hurt in Iraq, on leave for a week, he is determined to discover his lover's identity and in the meantime he can't resist seducing Natalie once he is assured by Adam that they are friends, only friends.
Levi suspects Natalie and it is fun to see the "mystery" unravel as Natalie all but turns to putty in Levi's arms. A fun, quick read that makes you want a little more, especially of Adam. There is a little something something going on with Adam and Winnie (Nat's best friend), so I look forward to July's release!

The Soldier is the next book out in July offered by Harlequin also by Rhonda Nelson about Adam McPherson the brother of our hero Levi McPherson in Letters from Home

See I've been wondering about this one and now I know I need to read it. Since my hubby is deployed I have noticed that I tend to shy away from some of the military ones.

I'll definitely have to check it out and I love that I can get it online whenever the mood strikes.

I am a working mom with an addiction to coffee, chocolate, and books.. I read an average 3 to 4 books a week to escape reality. I have setup this site to organize my own thoughts and help others when choosing what to read. Since I can be a dimwit at times I decided to keep a record of the books I read. This record turned into reviews so I would remember if I liked the book I forgot I had read. I am not particularily funny and my grammer sucks so please don’t expect much. Basically I don’t know jack about many things, but I do know what I like in a novel and what makes me want to spend my money on an author.
