Review.. WILD HEAT by Bella Andre

Another sizzler for me! I don't know what it is but I am so loving the cowboys and firefighters these days. It could be that there are just so many very sexy, very exciting books out right now that pertain to both.... I just can't keep up! OK, so as I wipe the slobber off my lip from the cover, lets go over Bella Andre's newest release WILD HEAT that was released this April which is the story of Maya Jackson and Logan Cain. Logan is a member of the "Hot Shot Crew", which are wildland firefighters, Maya has just slammed into his life, but only for one night! Maya's grieving the loss of her firefighter brother who just lost his life in an apartment fire while checking out the roof. She needs an escape and just starts running, literally until she is out of breath and stumbles onto a local bar. It is closed at the time but Logan is helping out a friend and setting up behind the bar for the night. With the help of a few shots within minutes Maya releases her body over to Logan for a hot and steamy encounter on top of the bar, just to run off afterwards, silly, silly girl. You can't start a book out that is so smokin and not have the remainder of that book follow it's lead. Bella Andre delivers that and more as Maya returns as the lead investigator that must suspend and investigate a series of "incidents" that all point to Logan. He knows he is being either set up or his all consuming fear that this is the work of his aging father figure and mentor who may be just losing his mind. In an effort to find out who is starting the fires Logan sort of takes Maya hostage as they run into some serious danger almost dying a couple of times from a hotel fire that was meant for Maya or the torching of Logan's home. I fear if I say too much more I will give away too many hints of the book, and I so want you to read this one yourself! The chemistry between Maya and Logan is really dynamic as Maya learns to trust her instincts and trust Logan. The mystery of who done it is pretty good and had me guessing two people that were really innocent, which always makes for an interesting read while you uncover the plot with each page. I am looking forward to book #2 but we all have to wait for Dec.... bummer.

Second book is Hot as Sin which comes out in Dec 09.....
